Every Summer, CRP youth come together for the Youth Summit, the capstone of our Summer programming, where skill-building, leadership, and a whole lot of fun with friends share the same schedule.
What the Summit is
The Summit brings together young people from across our school communities for workshops, team challenges, and performances built around one idea: you have something to lead with. It sits at the end of a Summer of programs, the After-School Education Advancement Program’s Summer strand, leadership and entrepreneurship training, sports and arts, and turns those skills loose on real projects.
What young people do there
- Lead workshops and activities they helped design
- Pitch and present ideas from our entrepreneurship training
- Compete, perform, and celebrate with peers from other schools
- Connect with mentors and CRP counselors in a setting that is pure encouragement
Why it matters
School-year support builds steadiness. The Summit builds identity. Standing in front of a room of peers and being taken seriously changes how a young person walks into September. It is the loudest, proudest week on our calendar, and it belongs entirely to the youth.
Photos and highlights from this year’s Summit are coming to this page. If your school or family wants in on next Summer’s programs, reach out, we will make room.
