Young people working together at a CRP youth workshop

Who We Are

Rooted in community
since 2014 &
still growing.

CRP has served the New York tri-state area since 2014, placing licensed clinicians and funded programs inside schools so that all children can grow up in safe, supportive, and inspiring environments, close to home.

Our Story

It started with a simple gap: students needed counselors.

Three chapters, all true. Tap a chapter to read it.

The Founding

CRP was founded on May 29, 2014 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in response to the need for licensed clinical counselors in schools. The idea was direct: if students could not get to care, care should come to them.

A Mobile Clinical Team

CRP built a mobile team of New York State-licensed clinicians (LCSW / LMHC) working across NYC, on-site in schools during the school day and scheduled around core classes, with sliding-scale fees and scholarships so cost is not the barrier.

Beyond Counseling

The work grew past the counseling room. Today CRP also funds enrichment, sports, arts, and Summer programming, because young people thrive when care and opportunity show up together.

Our Vision

The future we’re building for kids.

What every child deserves, and what we work toward.

01

Children who feel safe, heard, and cared for, without exception.

02

Schools where every student can get help without leaving the building.

03

Young people who know their own worth and can advocate for it.

04

Clinicians doing the work they trained for, where it’s needed most.

05

Communities where care and opportunity show up together.

Our Values

How we show up for children and families.

Love

Every child, family, and employee is perfect, whole, and complete. We work without judgment, from the belief that people can define and reach their own goals.

Trust

We keep our word to the families, schools, and partners who count on us, and we ground every practice in the best clinical and business knowledge.

Self-Reliance

Alongside gifts and donations, we build our own funding streams, so nothing stops us from doing what makes a real difference for children and communities.

Asset-Based

We start from strengths. The skills people already carry and the assets already in a neighborhood are the engine for social and economic growth.

Skill-Based

Every clinical interaction names, teaches, and rehearses coping, social, and emotional skills, so children and families carry resilience for a lifetime.

Community Investment

More than programs, a mission.

Community Investment is not one of our services, it is why CRP exists.

We work in neighborhoods with a history of disinvestment, re-purposing, re-imagining, and re-habilitating the spaces where children and families spend their days, so the people inside them feel safe, valued, and inspired. Counseling, programs, and revitalized spaces are all one project: communities where young people can thrive.
